Life is good!

So sorry I've been a blog-slacker.... but life has been crazy busy lately!

First we had Halloween... Lily's last minute costume was a ballerina.  We went to Trunk or Treat at Salem UMC with our friends, Kelly & Elizabeth. We had a lot fun and the girls especially loved the popcorn! I especially loved Pastor Mitch's look-a-like pumpkin!

This past weekend was a lot of fun! Lily spent Friday evening with G.G. while Nathan and I spent the evening with some awesome friends! Saturday, Lily and I spent the afternoon with Kelly, Elizabeth, and Elizabeth's cousins, Lily B and Grace (while Nathan and Clark went tailgating).

We went to the zoo with Josh, Alice & Gabriella! We all had a really great time. Lily especially loved feeding the cow and billy goats. She wasn't too sure about the birds, though. Lily carried her little baby with her while she explored the zoo.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming weekend. Hopefully I'll get to see my dear friend, Jackie! And then we have Thanksgiving! And then Christmas!! I usually dread the holidays... but this year I am very excited!!!! I've already started my shopping, which is a huge accomplishment. I'm always a last-minute shopper.

Welcome home, Gabriella!

A week ago today, we welcomed baby Gabriella to the world. She is a beautiful little girl and I am so excited to watch her and Lily grow up together. I hope that they will be the best of friends.

Lily met her new cousin yesterday and wasn't quite sure what to do with her. She just kept saying "Baby, baby." She did give her a couple of big kisses and a hug! It was so sweet!

Congrats Alice & Josh! I know you will make great parents!!

Weekend fun!

This past weekend Nathan, Lily and I went to the beach with my office. We had a really nice time spending the weekend with new friends. Lily really warmed up to everyone and had a great time.

Lily thoroughly enjoyed sitting on our condo's balcony. It was the first thing she wanted to do after her bath on Saturday!
Theresa became Lily's new BFF when she shared her piece of cake with her. After every bite, Lily giggled and waited for the next bite.
Shelley & Ray bought Lily some adorable new sunglasses... of course she loved them!

Alice is only 2 days away from her due date... her and Josh are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their baby girl. We are all so excited to meet that sweet baby!

I've purchased my camera and I'm ready to take pictures! I cannot express enough how excited I am about this. This has been something I've wanted and thought about for a very long time and I'm glad I'm finally going ahead with it. Please keep an eye out for my Facebook page... coming soon.

So, with that being said.... I've been taking some pictures for The Columbia Star... sports pictures. I started with American Legion baseball in June and then I started doing high school football in September. I've also done a volleyball match. Anyhow, it's been a great experience and I am looking forward to covering sports with my new camera! This Friday I'm photographing the Irmo v. RNE game... assuming a sweet little baby isn't being born. :)

I hope my next blog is all about baby G!

Until next time,

Fall is here!

Hello friends! Can you believe it is OCTOBER?? I cannot. Halloween is only weeks away and I have still not even begun to think about what Lily will be. Maybe she could dress up as a cupcake!!

Anywho- the countdown has officially begun! Alice is only 10 days away from her due date! It's hard to believe that we'll have another little one here before we know it. I can't wait to meet little Gabriella!

Thanks to all of our family and friends who have helped Alice and Josh prepare for baby Gabriella. She has been so fortunate to be able to get everything that she needs for baby G.

Here are some pics from all of her showers....

Mom & dad got a new pool liner a few weeks ago (and cut some trees down). The new pool looks AMAZING and we can't wait to swim in it next summer!

It's been super busy since my last blog post, which is why it has taken so long... This past weekend the most awesome Gamecocks kicked some Alabama butt!! It was beautiful to watch! Nathan and I spent the afternoon, evening and a little bit of the morning with some great new friends, Kelly & Clark. And Lily got to spend it with her friend, Elizabeth! I'll have to post pictures later.

We also went to our 3rd Out of the Darkness walk. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is a great organization that brings awareness to suicide. It's always nice to spend the day with my family as we walk in remembrance of Jason. He is so loved and missed every day.

On another note... I'm about to step into the land of photography... professional photography. So, if you need your pictures taken -  call me!!

Well, I think that about covers everything... for now anyways. Thanks for reading my blog... I hope I didn't bore you too much!

p.s. Here's some old & new photos of my Lily.
